Stage 3 visits to archaeological excavations in Graccurris
On October 1 began the archaeological excavation of the site of the Eras de San Martín de Alfaro.
As in previous years, the two-month intervention, were held one open house where the crew of the excavations will provide a guided tour of the excavated area. During this visit will be announced the results of past interventions and the status of work in progress. These
visits will take place on Wednesdays from 11-12 am, on Wednesday 14th October until 25 November.
For those interested in visiting the excavation schedule weekend visits will be made on Saturday November 28 at 12 am and 4 pm.

The minor basilicas have two special attributes: the umbel basilica, also called flag or conopeo (umbrella) and tintinábulo.
The badges are worn on the processions with a particular protocol. Tintinábulo carrier follows the processional cross and behind it is the bearer of the umbel. How are you emblems badges are not liturgical, are assimilated to the standards and are therefore carried by lay people, preferably people linked to the basilica. We presented Plaa special work of authorship "Formation of a new social space. The Port of Mar del Plata" , novimebre conducted in 1994 in the framework of a research task Geoografía materials and History of the National College Arturo Umberto Illia.
The introduction of the work says: "While the Port of Mar del Plata has an undeniable importance in this city is unknown as it was built, who participated in this event and what were the vagaries surrounding the building and also many have partial information. This led me to gather as much data as possible, in magazines, newspapers, books, publications, previous work and interviews.

Maybe my motivation was to be the granddaughter of one of the employees of the company and try to find all the information and photos that my family has that time .(...) 1913 -1993 / 80 years.

Published in 2005 "Divers from Puerto de Mar del Plata" award-winning work in "Art Bachrach Literary Award 2006, awarded by the Historical Diving Society of London. Not only is the first book of Mar del Plata on the subject but also the first work written in English, awarded by that British institution.
This book is a true work of Mar del Plata. It tells the story from the men working in a hostile environment, in the cold DelPlata Ocean waters.
